Building a completely new life

Everything starts with a dream

I started drafting this post as this blog was nothing but a mere dream. A hope that in the (hopefully near) future I could take control of my life and turn it into something I am excited about.

At that point I didn’t know anything about blogs. The technicalities of it and the work that would go into it was not a concern then. I only knew I was determined to not let that dream die.

I spent hours online researching, planning, outlining and hoping that one day this will take shape. Today finally is that day.

Finding that spark

We might all have a different understanding of what “excitement in life” means specifically. However, I think we could all agree, that it is something that sparks a light in us whenever we feel it.

For me the excitement comes from trying new things, working towards (maybe slightly too ambitious) goals and finding something I like to do so much that it comes easy to get up in the morning (and I’m definitely not a morning person). This blog is a part of that but it’s also here to follow my journey along the way and to keep me accountable.

I’ve been playing with the idea of starting a blog for a while. But to be honest I just thought I would be way too late to the game – and I might be. However, I’ve decided that I have to make braver decisions if I want to get anything done and stop boykotting myself before I’ve even started. So this is me putting myself out there and sharing my thoughts. Sharing whatever I want, really, to whoever wants to read this.

The dream

The ultimate dream is to build this blog up to be similar to a lifestyle magazine – just a little more personal. This might be a bit ambitious but I’m a keen believer in “shooting for the stars and being happy if you land on the moon” (not sure if this is actually the way the saying goes but it works for me).

Shoot for the stars and be happy if you land on the moon.

Or land anywhere for that matter. I just have to get started, work hard, hope for the best and see what happens. If nobody ever reads this that’s fine. At least I’ll know I tried my best and didn’t let the expectation of failing stop me. It is a dream really. But big dreams make everything more exciting while the real work is a lot more anticlimatic but fun nontheless.

Building a completely new life

Starting a blog obviously doesn’t change my life completely. But it’s a start in the new direction I’m heading in. I want to change a lot of things: e.g. becoming more confident, overcoming fears, not being scared to do what I want and living my life the way I want to.

This blog is a part of that because I needed to overcome some fears to even start it. And it is a tool in the way that it records the process and keeps me accountable.

So buckle up, we’re on the way to make a dream come true.
