5 Year Plan in an Ideal Life
I’ve always liked making plans. It’s a great way to get my thoughts in order and simultaneously it’s a first step towards turning that very plan into reality. If everything were to go perfectly in life, we would always get what we want and we’d always stick to our plans. But life – more often than not – has other plans. And there are many variables that are beyond our control. So this is just what I would do in the next 5 years if everything goes as planned. Master’s Degree I’m about to finish my undergrad studies this summer. So I’m at a point in life where most people…

Learning for Pleasure
Learning is hard. It takes effort. And it is rarely associated with pleasure. However, I’d argue that we also crave learning. Not necessarily the learning we do in school but the learning about things that spark our interest. After all, the favorite word of kids all around the world has to be “why” for a reason. Learning can be enjoyable. Studying vs Learning If asked, I’d say that I love learning but I don’t really enjoy studying. At first glance that doesn’t seem to make much sense, so I’ll try my best to explain what I mean by that (which is hard because it’s purely based on a feeling). I…

10 places you must see in Beijing
The capital of China has a lot to offer for tourists wanting to learn more about this country and its rich history. You will try foods you’ve never tried before, maybe pick up some phrases and hopefully you will come back with a lot of great memories. Self Care in Times of Uncertainty
We’re all facing circumstances at the moment that most of us have never experienced before. This can naturally lead to anxiety and frustration. It can make you angry or hopeless. That’s why now more than ever it’s important to take care of yourself. It’s okay First of all: Everything you’re feeling now is valid. It is a normal reaction, a healthy reaction. But don’t let those feelings take control of your actions. Nobody expects you to come out of this time with a debut novel, a completely transformed body or anything to show for at all. If you’re doing your part and staying at home as much as possible, you’re…

Building a completely new life
Everything starts with a dream I started drafting this post as this blog was nothing but a mere dream. A hope that in the (hopefully near) future I could take control of my life and turn it into something I am excited about. At that point I didn’t know anything about blogs. The technicalities of it and the work that would go into it was not a concern then. I only knew I was determined to not let that dream die. I spent hours online researching, planning, outlining and hoping that one day this will take shape. Today finally is that day. Finding that spark We might all have a different…
